BOAT CLEANINGS
& ZINCS
While not everyone out in the harbor is a racer taking
their boat out every week, it is still important to consider what is
below the water line of your boat. As the temperatures warm up, you
will have more growth build on the hull and keel of your boat as the
algae and barnacles become more prominent. Any fouling like this will
result in your boat not operating at it’s full potential. Growth
will cause your engine to work harder than it needs to wasting gas,
which in this day and age, is quite expensive.
There
is a good chance if you are moored in Atlantic Highlands you have seen
our crews out there working already. We make sure we always have a crew
out there of at least three divers and make sure there are always a
fresh set of replacements ready to go to ensure the highest level of
quality we can provide. We offer a variety of schedule variations such
as weekly, bi-weekly, every three weeks and monthly cleanings as well
as one time cleanings with the prices varying depending on how often.
Our crews make sure to clean the bottom as well as the props, shaft,
knot meter, keel and intakes to keep your boat running at it’s
full efficiency helping you keep speed and attain better gas mileage.
The divers working on your boat are trained to know
about the different types of bottom paints and how aggressive they can
be when cleaning them so to not damage the bottom paint but at the same
time get your boat as clean as the day it entered the water. We utilize
materials we have tested to clean your boat as efficiently as possible
without damaging any aspect of your vessel. Below you will find a link
to our work order which you can print out, fill out and mail directly
to us to get yourself on a cleaning schedule.
The zincs on your boat are an integral part of helping
fight off the marine environment from attacking your boats metal parts.
A new zinc will go a long way to helping protect against corrosion.
Zincs can be changed while we are already out there cleaning your boat
all you need to do is let us know beforehand what the size and location
of them are so we can make sure to have them on hand when we go.
