Complete Inspection ...
Dosil’s Underwater Services will
perform a “complete inspection” on our initial visit
to a pool losing water.
The divers inspection will include:
• Inspecting
the Filter Area
Check all visible plumbing for leaks
Inspect valves, etc.
Make sure the “back wash“ line is closed
Check the ground for evidence of leaking
Make note of results
• Checking
the Skimmers
Look for visible cracking
Dye test the skimmer rim area
Look for separations in the fixture
Make sure sealed plugs are in place
Epoxy if necessary
• Checking
Step Area
Check for visible cracks
Dye test the seal between the steps and the liner
Dye test step jets and around the jet fixtures
Check the end of the screw cover molding for dye flow
(we do not remove the molding, with age it becomes too brittle)
Epoxy or patch if possible
• Inspecting
the pool lighting
Dye test rim screws
Test area where rim flange meets the liner
Remove the light fixture and inspect light housing for leaks and
cracks
Dye test the electrical conduit & fittings
Epoxy if needed
For Pools with Liners...
• Inspecting
the liner for cuts and tears
Patch (up to 10) holes with vinyl liner
material
(as close as possible to a pattern match. Liners fade , patterns
go out of print, etc)
Liquid vinyl repair may be used on “pin holes”
For Concrete Pools…
• Inspecting
pool for cracking
Repair cracks with epoxy
• Inspecting
hydrostatic valve
Reseat the valve cap or replace if needed
(additional materials charge for a new valve)
• Checking
relief plugs for leaking
Repair with epoxy
Reminder: A diver will only enter
the pool if the water is clear, the pool is filled and the bottom
is clean.
